

DeSoto Jordan is currently a private investor and Chairman of Afton Holdings, LLC, a private investment firm. He serves as a member of the Board of Directors of Perot Systems Corporation, a more than $2 billion a year, publicly traded, global information technology company. He was a Co-Founder of the corporation in 1988. On that Board, he sits on the Compensation and Human Resource Committee as well as the Nominating and Governance Committee. He also serves on the Board of Directors of Argan Corporation, a publicly traded holding company whose asset companies include a large energy utilities engineering company, a private label nutraceutical products manufacturing company, and a digital communications cable installation company. He serves on the Audit Committee and is Chairman of the Compensation Committee for that Board.
As co-founder of Perot Systems Corporation and a corporate officer from 1988 until 1999, he served in a number of roles. Most prominently, he established the company’s healthcare division, which is the largest industry sector division with annual revenues in excess of $900 million.
Prior to becoming an officer at Perot Systems Corporation, he was a Corporate Vice President for Electronic Data Systems Corporation (EDS), a large global information technology services company. During his ten years at the company, he helped build the company’s U.S. federal government contracting business, directed worldwide government relations for the firm, and directed corporate communications.
He came to EDS from the Blue Cross and Blue Shield Association’s government affairs unit where he was Assistant Vice President. In this role, he performed government liaison services to the federal and state government health care agencies.
Prior to that he had been a Senior Consultant at Arthur D. Little, Inc. and was Executive Vice President with Mark Battle Associates.
